Security Concerns with the Institvte Foundation
Survey on Social Networks
Once again, this survey is strictly voluntary and completely anonymous.
Researchers will not have access to any information that would link
you to your responses.
We use the same basic system that the UA uses for anonymous voting.
It works by checking your certificate against a database of registered
students and then checks you off once you submit so you can't submit
twice. The survey results are stored in a completely separate database,
and there is no way to connect the two. If there is someway to do it,
rest assured that the researcher does not have the skills to hack it.
MIT's Committee on the Use of Humans as Experimental Subjects (COUHES)
was very careful in looking over this research design to make sure we
would not violate cofidentiality.
Still not satisfied? E-mail the Institute
Foundation President and let him know!
