Eureka Fest

Join the Lemelson-MIT Program for our third annual EurekaFest to celebrate the inventive spirit!
When: June 24 – 27, 2009
Where: Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Museum of Science

EurekaFest is a multi-day celebration designed to empower a legacy of inventors through activities that inspire youth, honor role models, and encourage creativity and problem solving.

Attend presentations and demonstrations by the winners of the $30,000 Lemelson Collegiate Student Prizes at MIT, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the California Institute of Technology, as well as several high school InvenTeams.

This public ceremony will honor the work of inventors improving our world. The 2009 Lemelson-MIT Award winners will be recognized, with a special presentation by the 2009 $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize Winner.

EurekaFest at the Museum of Science
Main Exhibit Halls
Museum of Science, Boston

Cheer on over 200 high school students in an all-day design challenge that explores the invention process through wind-powered devices. The Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation, in collaboration with the Museum of Science, will offer hands-on learning activities for young children. Families are encouraged to attend!
