Join the Lemelson-MIT Program for our seventh annual EurekaFest to celebrate the inventive spirit!

EurekaFest is a multi-day celebration designed to empower a legacy of inventors through activities that inspire youth, honor role models, and encourage creativity and problem solving.

Presentations by 2013 Lemelson-MIT Collegiate Student Prize Winners and InvenTeams

Attend presentations and demonstrations by the winners of the $30,000 Lemelson-MIT Collegiate Student Prizes at MIT, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as several high school InvenTeams.

The 2013 Collegiate Student Prize winners and finalists will exhibit their invention prototypes.

$100,000 Lemelson-MIT Award for Global Innovation Winners Presentation

Drs. Rebecca Richards-Kortum and Maria Oden, the 2013 $100,000 Lemelson-MIT Award for Global Innovation winners will discuss their life-saving technology for the world's poorest communities that were developed in partnership with students through the Beyond Traditional Borders initiative.

This public ceremony will honor the work of inventors improving our world. The 2013 Lemelson-MIT Award Winners will be recognized, including a special presentation by the 2013 $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize Winner.

EurekaFest at the Museum of Science

Cheer on over 200 high school students in a design challenge that explores the invention process. High School students from across the country will build their inventions at MIT in the morning and then transport them to the Museum of Science for a wind-powered design competition starting at 2:00 pm.. The Museum of Science will also offer hands-on learning activities for inventors of all ages throughout the day. Families are encouraged to join the fun! General museum admission required.
