The UV Waterworks system is remarkably simple, as this diagram illustrates. Water—fed by pressure, pumps, or gravity—enters a long, curved pan. Ultraviolet light from an unshielded fluorescent fixture disinfects the water, and the now-clean water spills out into a holding tank for later use.
