The Lemelson-MIT Program offers Continuation Grants to help InvenTeams maintain momentum and transition to a self-sustaining inventive culture in their schools and communities. A former InvenTeam is eligible to apply for a Continuation Grant for three years after the completion of its initial grant cycle. To qualify, the former InvenTeam must secure at least $2,000 of financial support from an external partner(s) each year. The Lemelson-MIT Program will match $2000 for the project. Teacher stipends are available for teachers working with a continuation team. Applications for Continuation Grants are mailed to former InvenTeams each summer.
InvenTeams may choose to advance their original projects or launch new invention projects.
