The Bergen County Academies InvenTeam invented a kit that will allow end users to harvest parts from e-waste, (old computers and other electronic equipment) and build small energy generating devices to charge cell phones. The kit will include tools and instructions that cost less than $50. Additionally support electronics will be developed that cost less than $5/unit. Our end users are in parts of the world where the electrical infrastructure is unreliable or nonexistent.
