The Lynden High School InvenTeam invented a new suspension system that will allow riders with physical limitations to ride a stable trike. The trike will use hydraulic cylinders within the A-arm suspension to control the stability. At a stop the trike will be very stable (no lean available). The rider will be able to pre-set the speed to begin leaning and amount of lean available. As the rider’s balance and skill levels increase the trike will have the capability to lean up to 30 degrees. The leaning feature will allow the rider to exercise the all important core muscle groups.
