The Girls Leadership Academy of Arizona InvenTeam will invent a lightweight water safety shirt to address the serious issue of child drowning in Phoenix, Arizona. The shirt is designed for children ages 2-4 and with a comfortable shirt equipped with an inflatable bladder and alarm. The bladder will wrap like an inner tube under the arms, and both the inflation and alarm automatic mechanisms will be stored in a small pouch on the back of the shirt. It will cost under $50 for the end user.
