Gunn High School InvenTeam will invent an affordable, sustainable solar egg incubator that adopts a cost-effective, intelligent solar water heater and uses a low-power microcontroller to regulate temperature, egg rotation, and the hatching detection system. It is designed to combat malnutrition, initiate micro-economies, which will ease the poverty cycle, and introduce clean and modern technology to teachers and students. The projected price is $300 and will be donated to schools in off-the-grid developing communities.
