The St. Ursula Academy InvenTeam will invent a pill dispensing organizational system. The device will track and ration out correct dosages for up to eight medications, from their original containers, assisting individuals who have difficulty managing their medications on their own. Users will be alerted by a light and beep when it is time to take their pills, resulting in a lessened need for caregiver supervision. The tracking will be controlled by dials on the back of the device that can be easily changed with prescription changes. Many pill dispensers are on the market, some costing upwards of one thousand dollars, but this device will be easier to use and more affordable, costing under $100 to manufacture.
