Spotlight on Energy Innovation

Don't Worry About the Government?

The LEED-NC "Green Building" Rating System and Energy Efficiency in U.S. Commercial Buildings
By David M.Hart

Energy Efficiency in Buildings

Improving energy efficiency is the highest leverage, lowest-cost way to reduce carbon emissions. 40% of all U.S. energy and more than 70% of electricity is consumed in residential and commercial buildings. The goal of this study is to explore the feasibility of alternative business and public policy models in achieving scalable solutions to the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of residential and commercial buildings.
