Lessons from Other Industries

What lessons can be learned from other industries that may be relevant to the U.S. energy innovation challenge? In a project being conducted in collaboration with the National Bureau of Economic Research, case studies of innovation policies and practices in several industries and technological domains are being carried out. The case studies include: pharmaceuticals and biotechnology; chemicals; information technology; the internet; and the venture capital sector.
