The Institute's student body of 10,384 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, three territories and dependencies, and 118 foreign countries. Forty-eight percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 2,747 students makes up 9% of the undergraduate and 38% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include: China, 384; Korea, 275; India, 250; Canada, 209; Singapore, 99.
