The Institute's student body of 11,376 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, four territories and dependencies, and 129 foreign countries. Forty-seven percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 3,326 students makes up 10% of the undergraduate and 42% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include: China, 765; India, 328;Canada, 264; Korea, 212; France, 107; Singapore, 96; Taiwan, 76; Brazil, 75; United Kingdom, 69; Germany, 67.
