The Institute's student body of 11,331 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, three territories and dependencies, and 120 foreign countries. Forty-six percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 3,411 students makes up 11% of the undergraduate and 43% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include: China, 680; India, 336; Canada, 258; Korea, 211; Singapore, 96; France, 93; Brazil, 92; Mexico, 77; Taiwan, 77; Russia, 73.
