The Institute's student body of 11,301 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, three territories and dependencies, and 114 foreign countries. Forty-six percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 3,244 students makes up 10% of the undergraduate and 41% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include:China, 631; India, 312; Canada, 257; Korea, 252; Singapore, 98.
