The Institute's student body of 11,319 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, three territories and dependencies, and 116 foreign countries. Forty-seven percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 3,302 students makes up 10% of the undergraduate and 42% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include: China, 664; India, 304; Canada, 262; Korea, 232; Singapore, 93; France, 90.
