The Institute's student body of 11,466 is a highly diverse group. Students come from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, four territories and dependencies, and 129 foreign countries. Forty-seven percent of the undergraduates and eighteen percent of graduate students are members of U.S. minority groups. The broad international student representation of 3,413 students makes up eleven percent of the undergraduate and 42% of the graduate population. Foreign countries with the largest enrollment at MIT include: China, 794; India, 339; Canada, 261; Korea, 204; France, 106; Singapore, 98; Brazil, 74; United Kingdom, 73; Taiwan, 70; Germany, 677.
