Recipients of MIT Graduate Degrees were asked about their retrospective satisfaction with their time at MIT, the course of their career, the importance of various skills to their current career, and about the climate of their graduate program.

Recent Findings (2012 Graduate Alumni Survey)
- Overall satisfaction with MIT: 94% of respondents were "generally satisfied" or "very satisfied" with being a graduate student at MIT.
- The average annual salary of graduate alumni is $156,793.
- Alumni were most likely to report working in a private for-profit organization (54%), in a U.S. 4-year college or university (13%) or to be self-employed (9%). The most frequently reported occupations were manager, administrator, or management consultant (18%), engineer (18%),and college or university faculty member (18%).
