Oracle database support for administrative and academic applications is provided through DBAs who are part of the Server Operations Team. Activities include: installation and upgrades, assuring proper backups, performance monitoring and tuning, problem resolution, and distribution of Oracle products.

MIT has an Oracle Campus License for use by the MIT community (including Lincoln Lab). The license allows Oracle use for education, research, and institute-internal business functions.

Products available under the campus license include supported versions of:

  • Database Server
  • Client
  • Enterprise Manager
  • Application Server
  • Developer Suite
