Prize Money and Awards
Teams who are selected at the semi-final judging
will be awarded seed funds for prototyping and the opportunity
to compete in the final judging in early April. The semi-final
award (generally in the range of $500-1,000) may be used by
the team to assist in building the prototype or proof-of-concept
demonstration of their presented idea. The check will be given
to the team leader designated on the team registration sheet.
The semi-finalists are determined
following the invited presentations. The money
can be used in any manner necessary to provide the proof-of-concept
for the final awards. It is anticipated that after the competition
the ISN would like to showcase the prototypes.
Final judging will take place in early April. A total of
$20K in prize money will be awarded to teams from MIT and
USMA. In contrast to the semi-finalist awards, the finalist
awards will be evenly distributed to the team members listed
on the final team registration form. The awards will be determined
at a final judging event featuring demonstration
of the teams' prototypes.
