Drop Deadline for Fall 2014 Term
November 19, 2014
International students are required to maintain full-time registration (36 units) at all time during the semester. If you plan to drop classes, please make sure you maintain your full-time status. For questions, please contact the ISO.

Welcome to the International Students Office (ISO) at MIT. The ISO serves all incoming and currently enrolled international students at the Institute. The ISO assists students in maintaining their legal status in the United States, provides support for their dependents, and promotes interaction with and integration into the MIT community at large.

MIT ISO Announcements

ISO Relocating to Bldg E39-278 – On Tuesday, October 21st, the MIT International Students Office will be relocating to the second floor of Building E39 in Kendall Square on the corner of Main and Hayward streets. Building E39 is located at 55 Hayward Street, Cambridge, above Rebecca’s Cafe and next to COSI, with another entrance at 290 Main Street. Please see ISO special hours posted to the right of this announcement.

ISO Walk-In Appointments – The ISO will continue walk-in hours on Mondays from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Appointments will be first come, first served.

Fall/Winter Travel –If you plan to travel during the upcoming season, please read our travel advisory page to be prepared for re-entry to the US. The I-94 arrival/departure system is now electronic if you are traveling by air or sea.
