ISO Begins Processing Sept Admit Documents
April 15, 2014
The ISO will begin the processing of newly admitted September 2014 graduate candidate immigration documents on April 15, 2014. The documents will be processed first come, first served after the complete submission of your application. Processing time is estimated at 10-15 business days and does not include mailing time.

Post-completion Off-campus Work Permission
March 2014 - June 2014
Students who plan to graduate this semester and would like to work in the U.S. after graduation should apply for post-completion of degree Optional Practical Training.

Welcome to the International Students Office (ISO) at MIT. The ISO serves all incoming and currently enrolled international students at the Institute. The ISO assists students in maintaining their legal status in the United States, provides support for their dependents, and promotes interaction with and integration into the MIT community at large.

MIT ISO Announcements

GLACIER Tax Prep Software System – Our online tax preparation software system is now available. New this year - "Welcome to the U.S. Tax System" online video found near the bottom of the page after you log in. Late filings are accepted up to June 15th.

ISO Walk-In Appointments – The ISO will continue walk-in hours on Mondays from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Appointments will be first come, first served.

Spring and Summer Travel –If you plan to travel during the upcoming season, please read our travel advisory page to be prepared for re-entry to the US. The I-94 arrival/departure system is now electronic if you are traveling by air or sea.
