In Memory of Danielle Guichard-Ashbrook
Along with the Book of Condolences in the ISO reception area, is available at the request of our students and alumni/ae around the world for anyone to share their memories and condolences. An MIT community-wide memorial service for Danielle is planned for February or March 2015.


Fall 2014 Registration Deadline
February 2, 2015
All international students are required by immigration regulations to register full-time within the mandatory registration reporting period. This term, the deadline is March 3, 2015.

Presidents Day Holiday - ISO Closed
February 16, 2015
The ISO will be closed in observance of Presidents Day for an Institute-wide holiday.

Post-completion Off-campus Work Permission
March - September 2014
Students who plan to graduate this semester and would like to work in the U.S. after graduation should apply for post-completion of degree Optional Practical Training.

ISO Relocates to Bldg E39-278 On Tuesday, October 21st, the MIT International Students Office relocated to the second floor of Building E39 (55 Hayward Street) in Kendall Square on the corner of Main and Hayward streets.

Fall/Winter Travel –If you plan to travel during the upcoming season, please read our travel advisory page to be prepared for re-entry to the US. The I-94 arrival/departure system is now electronic if you are traveling by air or sea.

US Tax Forms Due April 15, 2015 – International students should wait until they receive an email from the International Students Office regarding available software to complete their tax forms.
