Career Development
There are 3 components to the "real work" each of us
has:
- The daily, often interruption-driven tasks;
- Whatever project work we may have;
- Our own career development.
As one IS&T Team Leader said, "Lose any of the three,
and were doomed." Why?
There are two reasons that require a serious focus on career development
in IS&T:
- Departmental needs, as we look at the future.
We -- all of us -- need the growth of each other for the
next stages of our work.
- Staff needs, as we look at the employee opinion survey.
You need your growth for your next move. Things wont
stay the same in IS&T.

needed in each of its members. The Operations Center
