The following resources on campus can assist you with equipment, software, and professional crew.

  • Audio Visual Services: provides equipment rentals to MIT faculty and staff for academic and classroom support.
  • Academic Media Production Services (AMPS), http://web.mit.edu/amps/, is the leading in-house vendor for multimedia and technology services that support educational initiatives in the MIT community. Located in building NE48, AMPS produces both podcast and vodcast media files for the community. • The New Media Center, a cluster of Macs loaded with multimedia software, provides the MIT community with do-it-yourself tools for video editing and other multimedia production.
  • The Podcasting User Guide prepared by Robert Wolfe (MIT Libraries Metadata Specialist) is a great way to start learning about podcasts. It also helps understand what information should be available in order to properly identify your podcast and related media files.

Off Campus Resources

  • The Podcast Academy took place recently at Boston University. Recordings of the lectures and panels are available on the BU Podast archive page.
