On Campus Resources
The following resources on campus can assist you with equipment, software, and professional crew.
- Audio Visual Services: provides equipment rentals to MIT faculty and staff for academic and classroom support.
- Academic Media Production Services (AMPS), http://web.mit.edu/amps/, is the leading in-house vendor for multimedia and technology services that support educational initiatives in the MIT community. Located in building NE48, AMPS produces both podcast and vodcast media files for the community. They can provide content production, editing, and multi-media development services in support of your podcasting initiatives. 3-7603
- The New Media Center, a cluster of Macs loaded with multimedia software, provides the MIT community with do-it-yourself tools for video editing and other multimedia production.
- The Podcasting User Guide prepared by Robert Wolfe (MIT Libraries Metadata Specialist) is a great way to start learning about podcasts. It also helps understand what information should be available in order to properly identify your podcast and related media files.
