License Restrictions
Faculty/Staff
ADI Products are available for use by MIT Faculty and Staff for MIT purposes on MIT-owned machines on the Cambridge Campus. MIT Faculty may additionally use the software on their personally owned machines (one copy per faculty member) solely to facilitate classroom instruction and preparation.
Students
MIT Students may use the software on Institute owned machines located on the Cambridge Campus - such as departmental lab machines. Autodesk prohibits use of the software by students on both student-owned machines and Institute machines (such as laptops) that are allocated by MIT to students for their personal use. Students should check with their departmental liason about availability of the software on departmental machines
IS&T hopes to make some or all of this software available in the future to students on machines in the Building 37 Cluster http://web.mit.edu/windows/cluster/ When the software is installed there the site will be updated with that information.
Academic Versions of individual ADI products are available through resellers such as GovConnection and TorComp.com. These are fully functional versions, however, printouts will be marked identifying the product as a student version.

How to Obtain ADI Products?
Distribution of ADI products is by media only. In an effort to make administration easier, IS&T requests that each department using ADI products name a Liason who will be responsible for distributing the products within that department. Following is a list of participating departments and Liasons:
If you are a listed departmental liason or your department does not have a liason, and you would like installation media for an ADI Product or products, please complete Departmental Autodesk Order Form.
The department of Architecture administers a limited number of 3DS Max licenses. Please contact the departmental liason to inquire about use of these licenses.
Updates
MIT typically receives one yearly media shipment in the summer or fall of each year for ADI products that Autodesk has updated. Updates will be listed on this site as they become available.

Help
MIT users with support questions should contact their Departmental Liason. Users should also explore the autodesk.com/school site for resources including technical support, tutorials, free software and other information. The autodeskhelp@mit.edu email list includes departmental liasons with direct contact to Autodesk. Additional documentation and support can be found on the Autodesk Support Website.
Finally, Autodesk, Inc. is interested in receiving feedback about the products it provides to Higher Education through the Autodesk Design Institute Program. Tony Theos is MIT's Education Account Executive anthony.theos@autodesk.com.
