Creating the Spamscreen Folder in Eudora (Win)

If you've set up Spamscreen filtering for another IMAP-based email program you use for your MIT email, e.g., Outlook or Eudora (used with IMAP), your Spamscreen folder is already set up.

Note

Note: Everyone with an account created on or after October 4, 2004 will have a Spamscreen folder already created on the main server and will not need to complete the following steps.

Create the Folder

  1. Launch Eudora and select Mailbox > <Dominant> > Inbox > New... to create a new mailbox on the server.

    inbox

Result: The "New Mailbox" dialog appears.

    inbox

  2. Type "Spamscreen" in the space provided and click OK
Note: The first - and only the first - letter of "Spamscreen" should be capitalized.

Result: Your Spamscreen folder has been created. New mail sent to your MIT email account marked as Spam will be "stored" in this folder.

    inbox
