Student Orientation Podcasts:
Get Connected, Athena, and Linux Presentations

IS&T runs several orientation classes for new undergraduate and graduate students. This year these classes fell on August 28th and August 29th (Monday and Tuesday of Orientation week). We are making video versions (podcasts) of these sessions available for those that could not attend. Each video podcast page also includes the slides used during the live presentations and a transcript of the video podcast.

Click on one of the thumbnails or podcast titles below to jump to the page for that podcast.

Note: Viewing this video requires QuickTime 7 installed on your computer. You can download it here from Apple.

Comments and Feedback

In order to be available to incoming students, these videos were assembled quickly. They are maintained by IS&T's Computing Help Desk. Refinements will be forthcoming over the next few weeks. Please send comments, ideas, and suggestions to Oliver Thomas. The standard IS&T comment form will be used for suggestions as these pages become more tightly integrated into the IS&T web site.
