MIT CellularLD International Wireless Long Distance Service
Overview
Massachusetts Institute of Technology has negotiated an agreement
with MobileSphere CellularLD to provide reduced international wireless
long distance calling rates for MIT students and staff when calling
from their registered cellular phones.
News
New Feature
Wireless users can originate calls using CellularLD service
not only from the United States but also from the following additional
countries: Japan, Canada, Mexico, Germany, U.K., Brazil, France,
Pakistan, Argentina, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Australia, Norway, Sweden,
and Chile.
Lower Rates to Popular Countries
Per minute calling rates have been lowered to the following
for these countries:
- India-Landline/Mobile
- Japan-Mobile
- Mexico-Mobile
- Taiwan-Mobile
- Thailand-Landline/Mobile
- Turkey-Istanbul/Landline/Mobile
See the Promotional Flyer for additional

Rates
CellularLD has an extensive list of local access numbers so that
customers can access the CellularLD network locally and pay a lower
rate. A local Boston area access number is available and will be
provided upon registration.
If you are traveling elsewhere in the United States where a local
access number is not available, you may use CellularLD's toll-free
access number. Note that you will pay a higher rate if you access
the CellularLD network via the toll-free number.
See the CellularLD
rate schedule for additional information, including the per-minute
rates for local vs. toll-free access.
