AdminIT Program: FY2009 Desktop Renewal Hardware Standards
Important notes:
- Monitor replacements will be assessed independent of
computers.
- Cost sharing will continue for laptop deployments during FY2009.
Macintosh Desktop Minimum:
- Power Mac G4 desktop Dual (1.25GHz)
- 512 MB of memory (RAM) or greater
- 80 GB hard drive
- DVD/CD-RW (Combo Drive)
- Mac OS X 10.2.8 or greater
- 17" Flat Panel (LCD) or Monitor (CRT)
Apple Desktop Recommendations:
- Apple iMac 20" Intel Core 2 Duo (2.66GHz)
- 4 GB of memory (RAM) as paired 2GB Memory chips to take advantage of the Duo Core
- 320 GB Serial ATA Drive
- DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW
(Super Drive)
- Mac OS X 10.5 or greater
- Apple Care (additional Cost)
