Computer Buying Advice: Recommendation Process
Need help buying a computer?
If you're not sure how to determine what kind of computer will best fit your needs, we have created our recommendations with your needs in mind.
Our recommended configuration page for laptops has been divided in three different categories: basic, standard, and advanced.
In the table below, we have listed the tasks that would be most appropriate for each category. Although we did not list every task
that each category of computer may be able to do well, we did try to give you a good idea of the type of work you would be able to accomplish.
If you have any further questions, send us an email at computing-help@mit.edu or give us a call at 617.253.1101. |
