IP Telephony
MITvoip |
General VoIP telephone service, currently being rolled out across campus to faculty, staff, and administration. |
Open Source Telephony |
A bare-bones VoIP telephone service that evolved out of the VoIP Pilot Program. |
Personal SIP Accounts |
Personal SIP Accounts leverage the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to allow MIT users to experiment with advanced voice and video applications and services. SIP is an open standard that supports communications with a variety of devices using your “username@mit.edu” identity. Personal SIP Accounts are not intended as a replacement for telephone services. This experimental service is aimed at advanced users and has limited support. |
