MITvoip Telephone: Polycom SoundPoint 550 and 650

Overview

The Polycom SoundPoint 550 and 650 phones both have several shortcut keys that put many features right at your fingertips.

How to Navigate the Menus

These instructions apply to the telephone menus that appear on your phone's display panel. For instructions about the menus that you hear when you call in to the voice mail system, see the voice mail documentation.

  • To open the menus, press the Menu button.

  • To scroll through menu options, use the Up/Down Arrows.

  • To select an item on a menu, do one of the following:
    • Press the item's number on the keypad.
    • Highlight the item and press the Checkmark button.
    • Highlight the item and press the Right Arrow.

  • To back up a level in the menus, press either the Left Arrow or the Exit soft key.

  • To exit the menus and return to the main display, press the Menu button, or press the Exit soft key to back up out of the menu.

Button Shortcuts

Directories and Call Lists
  • To access the contact directory, press the Directories button and select Contact Directory.

  • To access a call list, press one of the arrow keys:
    • For the Placed Calls List, press the Right Arrow.
    • For the Received Calls List, press the Left Arrow.
    • For the Missed Calls List, press the Down Arrow.

  • To access a list of speed dial contacts, press the Up Arrow.
Other Shortcut Buttons
  • To autodial the voice mail access number, press the Messages button. If you have more than one number on your phone, select a line and press the Connect soft key.

  • To call the last number dialed from your phone, press the Redial button.

  • To autodial a contact assigned to a speed dial on a line key, press the line key that shows the contact's name.

  • To edit a contact assigned to a speed dial on a line key, press and hold the contact's line key.

  • To transfer a call, you can use the Transfer button instead of the Trnsfer soft key.

  • To create a conference call, you can use the Conference button instead of the Confrnc soft key.

  • To silence ringing on your phone, press the Do Not Disturb button.
