Notification Options
Notifications are the indicators that let you know you have received a new voice mail message. They include the red blinking Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light, the envelope icon on the display, and the “stutter” dial tone. You might also have additional notifications such as voice mail by email, depending on your settings.
Follow the steps below to turn your notifications off or on. If you turn off your notifications, none of your notifications will activate if you get a new message. You will still be able to play any messages you receive. Turning off notifications will not affect how your call lists capture information.
You can turn notifications on or off separately for each of your lines with the Device Management tools (see Account and Device Management).
