MITvoip Web Interface: Message Waiting Indicator
Overview
The Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) is the red light on your phone that blinks when you have a new voice mail message waiting. You can turn this feature on or off or set it to activate only when you receive an urgent message.

Setting the MWI
- Access your account on the MITvoip Web Interface.
- Click the Notification Settings button.
Result: The Notification page opens.
- Click the Activate Notification link.
Result: The Activate Notification page opens.
- Click a radio button in the Notify me through Message Wait Indicator section:
- To turn off the MWI, select Off.
- To turn the MWI on for all messages, select Every time I receive a message.
- To turn the MWI on only for urgent messages, set the notification rule and select If message meets my Notification Rule.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
Result: A confirmation of the change is displayed.
