There are many resources available to web publishers using web.mit.edu web space.

• MIT's web servers are configured to allow for custom 404 File Not Found error pages by directory.

• Information Services and Technology has a survey service to run custom surveys for you or provide you with information to run your own.
• CGIemail can send you an email with information submitted via HTML forms.
• The Custom Events Calendar enables you to utilize MIT's Events Calendar technology to display your group's events on your website while maintaining the site's "look and feel".
• With a few lines of code added to your web pages you are able to gather web use statistics about the number of visitors, the browser they are using, and more.
• To provide directions with a map for your visitors you can link to your group's location on campus with MIT's Campus Map.
• On web.mit.edu you are able to protect content on your site by controlling who's allowed to have access to certain pages.
• To simplify page creation and maintain better control over content you can use server side includes (SSI) on web.mit.edu.
