ITS Project Charter

The ITS Project is chartered to evaluate and deliver web-based functionality of the SAP Internet Transaction Server to the MIT community. The delivery of low cost, high value web solutions to the MIT community is considered to be a high Institute priority. The ITS Project will concentrate on delivering ITS hardware and software architecture and security, as well as stay informed about other SAP internet tools such as the SAP Web GUI, B2B component, and the SAP Business Connector. ITS will be a multi-phased effort. The first phase will focus on establishing a functional ITS prototype environment. Once the prototype environment has been established, subsequent phases of ITS will focus on developing web-based functionality to the MIT community. Delivery of an end-to-end transaction in ITS is needed for proof of concept and to develop experience with the ITS tools. Recommendations regarding other functionality will be made by the ITS Project to our sponsors and SAP Plan for approval. The charter will be adjusted once SAP Plan and the project sponsors approve the development and delivery phases.
