About Me
I am a fifth year graduate student in MIT's department of linguistics. My main research interests include the morphology and syntax of Mayan languages (especially Chol), ergativity and split ergativity, predicate initial languages, and the syntax of nominal constructions.
My dissertation (currently in progress) focusses on aspectually based split ergativity.
I live in Cambridge with my husband Jess and our new daughter, Ella. Some things I like include: cooking, traveling, yoga, Scrabble, camping, patio gardening, hiking, reading, and crossword puzzles. Before coming to MIT I lived in Portland, Oregon and was an undergraduate at Reed College.
