ACS Philosophy and Role
Our Mission
We succeed to the extent our efforts improve MIT Education.
Strategies
- Improving instruction and curriculum directly
- Providing infrastructure for faculty, students and
academic administration
- Planning and advocating the effective use of instructional technologies
- Marshalling resources (people, money, space)
Establishing Priorities
- Serve many students, rather than few
- Serve the Core of the MIT curriculum
(including General Institute Requirements and large introductory subjects in popular departments)
rather than the periphery
