Experience

Cambridge Interactive Development Corporation, Cambridge, MA. February 2007 to present. Software engineer. Use Perl, C#, and MySQL to maintain and add functionality to an in-house Translation Management System. Write and use scripts to import translations from legacy and third-party TMS. Write user, administrator, and developer documentation describing TMS.

Data2Logistics, Randolph, MA. November 2005 to January 2007. Software engineer. Used C and Sculptor in AIX unix environment to customize ExcelPro freight billing software and associated applications, and write custom programs for individual clients. Worked with customer account specialists to determine the customizations required for individual clients. Created a set of "How-to" documents for new developers.

CSG Systems International, Cambridge, MA (formerly Lucent Technologies Billing and Customer Care, formerly Kenan Systems Corporation). August 1998 to July 2003. Software engineer and technical lead. Used C and C++ in unix environments to customize Arbor/BP billing software for individual customers. Created and customized SQL stored procedures to retrieve rated billing data for bill presentment. Post-processed rated billing data and formatted information for bill dispatch output files. Gathered billing requirements from customers and wrote requirement and design documents. Mentored other developers, participated in code reviews. Was member of Special Development Group Defect Review Team. Job-related travel included sites within the U.S., Mexico, and Australia.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. January 1998 to May 1998. Teaching Assistant. Worked with 7 other T.A.s to give weekly recitation lectures in an introductory C programming course. Wrote and graded test questions. Provided assistance to students during weekly office hours.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Fall 1995 to Spring 1998. Research Assistant. Conversion of an on-line physical geology tutor to an HTML/Perl-CGI/Java format. Administered webserver for tutor. Enhancement of modeling capabilities of a subsurface profiling program.

Pitzer College, Claremont, CA. Summer 1995. Webmaster and summer lab consultant. Developed and implemented the Pitzer College Web Page. Provided user support in the Pitzer College computer lab.

Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA. Fall 1994 to Spring 1995. Consultant for Academic Computing Department. Responsibilities included user support, writing documentation, lab maintenance. Systems included Macintosh, PC-compatibles, VAX/VMS, and Solaris.

Colgate University, Hamilton, NY. Summer 1994. Participant in Colgate's NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. Conducted petrographic research on a norite body in the Cortlandt Complex near Peekskill, NY. Research included thin section preparation, XRF analysis, and petrographic identification of samples and interpretation of geochemical data.

Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC through Furman University, Greenville, SC. Summer 1993. Participant in Furman's NSF-REU program. Conducted magnetometer surveys at Savannah River Site to locate buried metallic debris.

Experience
M.I.T. Anime Club, Cambridge, MA. May 2004 to present. Acquisitions Officer (June 2006-present), Industry Relations Chair (June 2006-present), Librarian (May 2004-May 2006). As acquisitions officer, purchase commerically released anime DVDs for the club to use at showings and in the club library. As industry relations chair, obtain permission from U.S. production companies to show anime at weekly showings and ensure that the club does not show commercial DVDs without appropriate permission. Attend anime conventions and other events and network with industry representatives. As librarian, managed checkouts of club anime and soundtrack titles to club members. Update checkout database. Added new materials to club inventory. Coordinate office hour schedule to facilitate borrowing of club materials.

Harvey Mudd College Alumni Association, Claremont, CA. February 1997 to present. Volunteer System Administrator and Webmistress. Remote maintenance of alumni forwarding aliases and Majordomo lists. Webmistress duties include updating page content.
