The MIT Green Fund’s mission is to support sustainability initiatives on MIT’s campus. We will do so by making loans to initiatives that reduce energy emissions while generating above-market returns on invested capital in the form of cost savings. Furthermore, by founding the MGF based on significant student and faculty involvement, the MGF will substantially support MIT’s mission: “To advance knowledge and educate students … that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.”
