Blossom House

THE BLOSSOM HOUSE, FIRST PLACE VELUX DESIGN COMPETITION JANUARY 2008

Competition objectives: Create an architecturally successful residential space that allows for as much autonomy from electric lighting as possible, includes skylights, ensures visual comfort based on a set of criteria, and limits solar gains.

The Blossom House sought to accomplish numerous daylighting effects through an innovative arrangement of space into "petals," like those of a flower.
