Salary Grade CC Full-time/Part-time F Job Description POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Plasma Science and Fusion Center, to conduct research in the theoretical and computational modeling of intense charged-particle beams in high-gradient accelerators and high-intense microwave and millimeter wave sources. Responsibilities include analytical and numerical modeling of both bunched and unbunched charged particle beams, determination of the conditions for beam confinement, and research on controlling of beam halo formation and beam loss. REQUIREMENTS: a Ph.D. in physics or electrical engineering,; demonstrated experience in applications of Green's function techniques to actual beam systems; and analytical, computational, writing, and communication skills.
