Position provides an opportunity to work on a self-polarizing 10 GeV electron storage ring design for a high-luminosity electron-ion collider (EIC) envisaged to be built at the Brookhaven RHIC facility. REQUIREMENTS: a Ph.D in accelerator physics or equivalent expertise in electron storage ring design. Experience in electron self-polarization desirable. Comfort working in a small accelerator physics group participating in the operational needs of the laboratory necessary.
