Job Description

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, Student Financial Services, to join a team of self-directed representatives responsible for delivering financial, academic, and general information services and function as a high-level individual contributor or coordinator of multiple projects. Will perform complex and specialized duties in support of student financial services and the Student Services Center, anticipating and initiating actions as necessary; and become cross-disciplined in diverse functional areas including financial aid, registrar, student accounts, student and parent loans, and student employment. Will serve a client base consisting of undergraduate, graduate and professional students and their parents, spouses, faculty, staff, employers, donors, federal and state agency representatives, and financial administrators. REQUIREMENTS: customer service experience in a fast-paced transaction-based service organization, preferably in an institution of higher education. Should possess strong analytical and computer skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision both independently and as part of a high-performance team. Ability to multitask with special attention to prioritization important. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to take initiative, be flexible, and adapt to change necessary. Must possess advanced and varied computer software skills and be adept at and committed to learning new program and software skills as necessary. Bachelor's degree preferred. 02-1076GD
