Job Description

PROGRAMMER, Laboratory for Computer Science, to support the Program Analysis Group's (PAG) research into software engineering tools. PAG conducts research on programming language design, program analysis, compilation, optimization, and programming environments with the goal of developing new techniques that can improve programmer productivity. Seek individual to assist in developing tools that support these new techniques. Will also interact with academic and commercial users in order to understand their needs and enhance or extend PAG tools, or build new ones to better meet those needs. REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science and programming expertise in C, C++, Java, and Perl. Experience with compilers, static and dynamic program analysis, or theorem proving a plus. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to think critically. Must be able to work with Ph.D. and master's students in a fast-paced research group a must. Research experience desirable. 02-1122
