Salary Grade HG Full-time/Part-time P Job Description LIFEGUARD, Athletics (part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to patrol premises to prevent accidents, rescue bathers in danger of drowning and administer resuscitation, enforce policies and procedures, insure cleanliness, and provide security of the pool. Will perform other duties as required including periodic cleaning and refilling of pool and cleaning and washing high windows and walls as needed. REQUIREMENTS: a current valid American Red Cross lifeguard training card and current American Red Cross CPR and first aid certifications. Must be able to pass a special physical examination and periodic lifeguard skill tests. Two years of acceptable lifeguard experience required. Must complete in-service training work as needed. Employment will be primarily in the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center (W35), but will also require periodic shifts at Alumni Pool (Building 57).
