Job Description

SUPERVISOR/COACH, MAIL SERVICES, Facilities, to be responsible for scheduling employee shifts; prioritizing work assignments that include pickup and delivery of all types of mail (i.e., inbound, outbound, interdepartmental), processing bulk mail, and shipping and receiving Institute goods; and providing daily coaching and supervision to mail and shipping/receiving teams by attending team meetings and assisting with the identification and implementation of continual improvement practices. Will train employees in procedures and operations; evaluate attendance and performance and take appropriate corrective action including discipline; maintain personnel production data and analyze and produce various reports on team progress and customer feedback; maintain inventory of consumable and warehoused materials; and develop problem solving techniques and long-range planning to include increasing revenue generated by internal customers through sales and service improvements REQUIREMENTS: an associate's degree (bachelor's preferred) or experience in a supervisory role in a shipping/ receiving environment equivalent to four years. A minimum of four years' experience in a mail/shipping/ receiving organization required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary. Knowledge of postal regulations and procedures of private carriers needed. Should have experience with MS Word, Excel, and the Internet. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary. The schedule for the position is Monday through Friday, 2:00 to 10:00 P.M. 02-1230O
