Description INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COORDINATOR, OpenCourseWare, to serve as the IP member on departmental project teams and evaluate IP objects owned or controlled by third parties. Will manage and track all components of IP treatment; contact faculty to obtain additional information about sources and rightsholders; identify sources of public domain images and create a list/database of resources; conduct research to identify rightsholders, obtain contact information, and pursue permissions; manage replacement process; document all aspects of the permissions process; hire, train, and supervise students; create statistical analyses and reports; and perform IP quality assurance. REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree; two years' experience; permissions research and clearance and/or content licensing research experience; project management experience; proven ability to manage multiple tasks within budgetary constraints and scheduling requirements; ability to supervise, train, and manage assignments and workflow of others; and ability to perform statistical analysis and create reports. Knowledge and experience required in the areas of bibliographic research tools; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Web browsers; content management systems; and graphics, publishing, and related applications (Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia). Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team important. Must be well organized and show meticulous attention to detail and follow-through. Experience working with faculty in higher education environment a plus, as are familiarity with IP law and practice and MIT course structure and curriculum content. Broad knowledge of instructional/educational technologies, distance learning, and related applications needed. Salary range: $35 to 45K. 03-0044 Location
