Job Description

SR. RESEARCH ANALYST, Resource Development (3 positions), to prepare confidential reports and strategies on major prospective donors to the Institute, assist in long-range planning of fund-raising and special projects aimed at expanding knowledge of alumni/ae and prospects, and prepare research reports on individuals residing in a defined market area. Will coordinate and prepare confidential research on major prospects for solicitation, review lists of prospects and donors to identify the greatest potential to support the Institute, make recommendations on the best prospects, and develop solicitation strategies; prepare postscreening review of prospect and donor lists and make recommendations on the best prospects and suggest strategies for cultivation, review lists of publications to identify possible new prospects, and assist in setting up and maintaining prospect tracking systems; and assist with special projects including economic impact studies of various geographic areas and industries. REQUIREMENTS: undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years' research experience, preferably in development research. A minimum of four years' work experience preferred, but higher education will count towards experience. Experience with computers required, preferably Macintosh. Must possess strong research and writing skills, the ability to analyze and synthesize information, familiarity with standard references, and the ability to interact well with others for the purpose of soliciting information and prioritizing work assignments. Solid organizational skills, initiative, ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints, and experience with on-line databases needed. Should have a strong devotion to accuracy and excellent judgment. Hiring range: $40,000 to 50,000. 03-0060N
