Description MARKETING DIRECTOR, Sloan School of Management (part-time, 50%) to assume responsibility for marketing management of the ancillary products of a quarterly business journal--published by the Sloan School--which serves both academic and general business markets. Ancillaries include reprints and permissions, books, and various forms of electronic content delivery. Responsibilities include development and implementation of marketing plans and budgets. Management and analysis of sales and usage data will be critical in maintaining and growing the ancillary revenue streams. Ad sales marketing is also an area of responsibility, including the development and acquisition of sponsorship or partnership programs which support both advertising and circulation goals. Supervision of freelancers, vendors, and internal support staff will also be expected. REQUIREMENTS: seven to ten years of marketing experience, at least five of which were in periodical publishing. Demonstrated experience with implementing a range of marketing initiatives in a variety of competitive situations necessary. Experience with both print and electronic products preferred. Experience with academic and/or business publications desirable. Project management skills a must, as is ability to work in a team environment and communicate well at all levels.
