ため（に）　　for the sake of; for the purpose of

１。子どものために、新しい机を買った。

	こどものため（に）、あたらしいつくえをかった。

	I bought a new desk for the sake of my child.

２。地震の研究をするため（に）、日本へ行った。

	じしんのけんきゅうをするために、にほんへいった。

	I went to Japan for the purpose of doing research on earthquakes.

ため　　also expresse reason and cause.

１。急に客が来たため（に）、仕事ができなかった。

	きゅうにきゃくがきたために、しごとができなかった。

	Because a guest suddenly came, I could not work.

２。そのレストランは食べ物が安くておいしいため、いつも若い人で、こんでいる。

	そのレストランはたべものがやすくておいしいため、いつもわかいひとでこんでいる。

	Because the restaurant has cheap and tasty food, it is always　crowded with young people.
