La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is one of the largest and most visited science museums in the world. It is home to several theaters, including an Omnimax inside La Géode, and simultaneously features multiple special exhibits. It was built on the site of La Villette, a unique area mixing cultural and leisure activities. Perched on the junction of the Canal de l’Ourcq and the Canal Saint-Denis, La Villette features modern architecture, landscaping, and a giant dragon slide that makes a great day-trip, especially for families with children.
