La Comédie Française

La Comédie Française is where for centuries the best French plays were held. Molière’s own seat still resides in this building. The building is magnificently decorated with stone carvings, ceiling painting, etc.

La Comedie Francaise

We went to Comédie Française on Friday, January 11th to watch Les Fables de Jean de La Fontaine with a production by Robert Wilson. The plays were very entertaining. The costumes were beautiful. Although it was a modern interpretation of the Fables, without prior knowledge of La Fontaine’s work it was difficult to understand what was going on. Nonetheless, the production was great.
