Opéra National de Paris

On Tuesday, January 15 we went to the Opéra national de Paris at the Palais Garnier. The building, which dates from the 19th century, is beautifully decorated. Inside the main room where the performances take place there are carvings with golden finish, and a lot of other decorations.

The show itself, "Le Corsaire" performed by the Bolchoï Ballet, lived up to my expectations that were partly driven by the beautiful building itself. The costumes were very colorful, and the set was very well constructed. Together, they portrayed an interesting picture of the Orient form Europe’s perspective. (-Serginio)
