Quartier Saint-George

Saint-George is an example of what can only be called social engineering. When the area was built up under Napoléon III, only people of "les lettres et les beaux arts" were allowed to live there. It became a high-class neighborhood, home to great artists such as Wagner, Liszt, and Georges Sand. I took a picture of the building where Wagner once lived. (-Lisa)
