Les Etages

Thursday, 1/8/09

After dinner, we hunted down a bar in le Marais called Les Etages. As its name suggests, the bar is comprised of four floors covered in quirky decorations, like colored lights and coats of armor outlined in sequined silver cloth. The drinks were good, but the funny thing was the music—mostly American, mostly country music. In fact, during our entire stay in France, French music was pretty rare. More often, the shops played Britney Spears and Beyonce. I heard more American pop in France, I think, than I do in America.
